Description

There is a Heat Treat Operator I position based in Irvine, PA, but from time to time may be assigned to work in Corry/Warren Plants that maybe awarded in the near future.

Heat Treat Operator I - Essential Job Functions - but not limited to the following:

  • Performs a variety of skilled duties in hot process operations, required in the production of steel products
  • Operate vertical and horizontal heat treat furnaces, ability to rig and fixture products for heat treat, set up and operate hydraulic straightening press, set up and operate coring, sawing and drilling machines, operate gas cutting torches and heat stability machines.
  • Operate overhead cranes including cab, radio and/or pendulant controls less than 40' and over 40' in elevation.
  • Operate industrial vehicles and equipment including mobile boom cranes.
  • Performs all work in accordance with plant safety rules.
  • Maintains highest quality standards in the execution of assigned work.
  • Maintains all reports and recordkeeping as required.
  • Performs routine preventative maintenance on all machines as required.
  • Maintains housekeeping in all work areas.
  • Performs other routine labor work as assigned and as required in accordance with production flow and/or plant needs.
  • Regular attendance as scheduled is an essential function. This could include rotating first second and third shifts, 24/7 rotations, seven-day schedules and times when overtime work (over 40 hours/week) will be mandatory.
  • Performs other duties as deemed necessary.
  • Attend all required meetings and trainings
